RIMI

The Norwegian cut-price chain RIMI wants to offer something that most of us lack: time. The brand stands for speed and simplicity. This is captured in the pace and energy of the imagery and the handy tips on the packaging. A design that has actually meant the products are regarded as even better value for money.

Jacqueline Evans

The Jacqueline Evans story began in 1999 when Jacqueline first created customised skin care for a select group of clients when she worked as a naturopath in the United Kingdom. Since then, years of meticulous research have gone into product formulations. Products are based on the function of the ingredients and only the purest and highest grade natural and organic ingredients are used, including cold pressed oils, the best essential oils and beneficial levels of vitamins, minerals and herbals resulting in some of the most effective products in the world.

The amber glass used for all the packaging not only preserves the integrity of the contents better, it compliments the restrained typography and bold colour differentiation of the labels. The honesty and quality of this product is clearly communicated through a sense of nostalgia-induced trust. They just happen to look great all together on your bathroom shelf too!
Designed by Swear Words, Australia.

Randstad

Randstad was the first Dutch employment agency to recognise brand communication and design as a way of building business. Rethinking the corporate vision and brand promise in 2001, Randstad concluded that while its core values continue to be valid, the expression of its brand identity was outdated. They selected Studio Dumbar to revitalise the brand and make it suitable for worldwide application.

Studio Dumbar created a design system entirely based on proportion, not size, including a style guide for the design of web sites, interior fittings, exterior signage for Randstad branch offices, and fleet marking.
Through international takeovers, Randstad is expanding its service package to HR solutions as well as recruitment and selection. That’s why Studio Dumbar created sublabels of the Randstad brand. The label styles fit in the Randstad design system but have their own character due to colour use and matching photography.

Giovanni Rana

The brand plays on colors concept for the variants of this new range of pasta. The premuimness of this range comes from the ingredients that have been carefully selected.
A resolutely modern and statutory graphic style, inspired by the Italian roots of the brand:
Impactful colors for an immediate understanding of the concept and an easy navigation within the range .
Close-up visuals of ingredients for greater quality and greediness.
A brand set-up more minimalist and qualitative.
An important part left to the product transparency to emphasize the colors and the shape of pasta.

Designed by CB'a Design Solutions, France.

Del Monte Banana

Health-conscious consumers bananas are a welcome part of a convenience store's offering. That is, until they turn brown. Which is why Del Monte developed a new plastic wrap for bananas that promises to more than double their shelf life by keeping out air and moisture. 7-Eleven has been trialling the second skin in 27 of its Dallas-area stores. If the trial is successful, the bananas-in-bags could be stocked in the majority of the chain's 5,787 shops by early 2010.

From the perspective of consumer health that's a thumbs up, but some have criticized the extra packaging as environmentally unsound. After all, bananas come wrapped in their own protective layer. Del Monte is looking to develop biodegradable packaging, but also stresses that the new plastic wrapper reduces the overall carbon footprint by enabling a reduction in deliveries. The company is also introducing specially packaged bananas in vending machines, underlining the wider context of increased consumer demand for food that's both healthy and convenient.
