In the 19th century, stereoscopes were the main source of travel images and pictures of current events from around the world. In light of this, the stereoscope created by aruliden specifically for this project is a modern, user-friendly instrument which takes cues from the theatrical ‘black box.’ Playing on the mounting interest of late in 3D technology, aruliden took an analog approach to replicate a mesmerizing stereoscope to enjoy the maximum depth and clarity of artworks by the likes of Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, Maurizio Cattelan and Marco Brambilla, among others (some works attached.) The project has yet to hit the stores yet, and will be available here.
