Tea Trunk is a brand of gourmet teas that we’ve worked with right from creating it’s much loved brand identity. With the packaging design, we wanted to take forward the playfulness of the brand identity but also make sure that the design of the packaging meets key objectives such as high visibility on shelves, high-degree of differentiation from other tea brands etc… We ended up with an approach where the face of each tea tin sports “Trunky” (the lovable Tea Trunk elephant) playing around with the key ingredient of that tea variety. The Lemon Green Tea has Trunky juggling lemons, the Rose Oolong Tea has Trunky lounging around in a bath tub filled with rose petals and so on.
