This is my B.A. project in Graphic Design. I chose to design a Cretan based fictional company named Agrimi which means “wild animal”, the locals refer to a specific animal that lives in Crete as Agrimi, i designed the brand, packaging and a part of the promotion.

Crete is a Greek island with strong roots and tradition. It is well known for its Mediterranean cuisine and local spirits such as tsipouro, raki, ouzo, rakomelo etc. It is also a region famous about its hospitality and the traditional music. So i tried to bring to life these special characteristics of the island by taking inspiration from local figures, traditions and activities, cretan musical instruments and its long regions.

For the logo I’ve created, my inspiration comes from the local animal named agrimi as the locals call it, the animal is basically a rare ram that is located only in Crete. The inspiration for the patterns comes from the local traditional uniforms of Crete.

The identity as well as the bottle labels are dominated by black n white typography, combined with a series of old pictures from the everyday life in the island aiming to make the customer feel like he is taking a small journey to the roots of Crete.

What’s Unique?
The combination of traditional elements with modern design.
