The Langley Schools Music Project: Space Oddity

The Langley Schools Music Project is a compilation of recordings (1976-1977) of children singing classic pop and rock songs. In this school project i was asked to create the vinyl packaging of the most famous song the children ever sung, called “Space Oddity” originally written and performed by David Bowie. The record sleeve pictures a little fat kid singing with passion and the inner sleeve Bowie’s iconic thunder, both printed on a “dirty” paper in order to symbolize the oldness of the vinyl.

What’s Unique?
The fact that all the graphics including the font was made completely by hand using a pen tablet with quick lines just like kid’s drawings.
