This branding project, done in Visual Communications II at Pratt Institute, promotes the brand Yin Cup. Yin Cup is a fictional company made from scratch. The brand prides itself in selling the next generation of female products: the period cup. When one Yin Cup is bought, another is donated to a woman in need from a different country.

This project was inspired by Richard Branson’s charitable organizations and aims to help women around the world fight period shaming and misinformation. The package that is donated includes antibacterial solution, a sponge, a metal container and cotton drawstring pouch for storage, and a booklet for usage information. The Yin Cup is dye free, BPA free, bleach free, and hypoallergenic. It is offered in two sizes (Size A & Size B). Manifesto: Eliminate the “EW”. Break the menstrual myth in countries that have longstanding traditions of period shaming. Create a desirable and contemporary product for the millennial woman. Encourage hygiene and self-love in girls experiencing sexism.

What’s Unique?
Unlike most feminine hygiene products on the market, the Yin Cup breaks from the pink, flowery foofoo decorative packages and provides a bold, clean and straightforward design.
