The brief required the students to design a cold pressed juice packaging that is visually appealing to a particular audience, has a strong shelf presence, and distinct itself from other brands. SMOOJ is an affectionately quirky cold pressed juice dedicated to bring back energy and brightness to artists, who need a break from their art projects. The combination of torn edges and modern typography creates a unique artistic look. A hip flask glass bottle was chosen in order to distinct Smooj from other cold pressed juice brands. The label is printed on a cream uncoated stock, which produces a pleasant welcoming vibe. The rough texture of the torn paper gives out a raw organic feel and creates an impression of a natural fine art paper. The flavors are described by using minimal watercolor splashes and strokes, which has a clear Spot UV varnish, therefore creating a premium look. Finally, the double O from Smooj became a logo and it was printed out by using white ink on clear sticker and them it became the cap’s design.
