A sustainable packaging design concept for a company that offers fresh vegetables and fruits from other countries.

With the super fast-growing world, we forget about something that brings Earth to an end every second. ‘Plastic’ is a game-changer to the world but comes with double units of downfall. It is something that the human race has acquired in their everyday lifestyle. the world seems to be impossible without that. Yes, I agree, plastic can be something that has been one of the great inventions, but it has come up with many drastic changes. The only way we can get to a better situation is to go back to organic and sustainable solutions. So today let’s take a small step towards the betterment of the Earth and make it a better place for future generations.

Botanical.orc packaging concept is to reduce the use and plastic and shift to sustainable, thus eco-friendly material. The material used for the container is a processed form of a natural fiber that is abundant in nature named coir.

The material that is used for the box is made of completely sustainable material extracted from coconut. Also, the paper which consists of all the necessary information is plantable paper(i.e. it consists of seeds). Thus, making the packaging 100% eco-friendly.

Details in the label
These labels were designed keeping in mind the experience and accessibility of the user. This mentions all the important information about the product. The mascot is of a farmer. This makes the packaging more appealing to the user, giving a sense of joy and face to the brand. An action-provoking text on the backside of the label gives a sense of responsibility to the buyer.

Today, we produce about 300 million tonnes of plastic waste every year. Specifically, clamshells like most packaging, are single-use plastics, while technically recyclable. Most of the time these have strong adhesive stickers attached that can’t be removed, making the clamshell ineligible for recycling.

In such a situation, a sustainable solution is what makes the packaging stand out. The material used for the reusable containers as well as the labels is environmentally friendly. Thus, taking a step towards sustainable living.
