Cocacao is a chocolate treat cooked up by a local Portland company, led by a husband and wife team. Together, they found some miraculous way to turn coconut oil, coconut nectar, and cacao powder into twelve bites of paradise. We put the simplicity of ingredients at the center of the packaging and developed a color system that is simple, modern, and eye-catchingly bright. We crafted copy for each panel of the box, inside and out, to build a fun, inviting world for each flavor.

What’s Unique?
We helped Cocacao facilitate a push to a completely recyclable new design. Our aim was to embody all the brightness, care, and love that goes into the product itself — Cocacao is proudly vegan, gluten free, paleo, USDA certified organic, and made from only a handful of natural ingredients. We wanted to communicate this uniqueness in a way that popped on the shelf beside other chocolate bars and became a memorable customer experience. Every part of the package was considered and crafted to deliver a moment of special connection.
