La Maison Fontaine

Early in 2009, Design Friendship were approached by Metropolitan Spirits and Pretty Green to help create a new spirit brand.

Twelve months on and we’d like to introduce La Maison Fontaine – an ultra premium artisan absinthe. Handcrafted amongst the beautiful Jura Mountains in Pontarlier France – a place renowned for its absinthe history. Distilled in the oldest absinthe stills in the world, using the finest ingredients and locally grown natural herbs, including Pontarlier Grande Absinthe.

The challenge was to create a brand identity that reflected the strong traditions of absinthe and the Pontarlier region, whilst positioning the aesthetic towards a more luxurious and contemporary style
