Artifakt is a label design for a premium Red Blend wine and exclusive Private Label for Aldi. The inspiration for the brand is the blend itself, a unique composition of selected parcels of grapes. To invoke the concept of relics or artifacts, giving the consumer a feeling of making a discovery with this new wine, Artifakt was chosen as a play on words. Designer Aaron Woolsey fused the concepts of aged, prized artifacts with bold, modern colors. The “cracks” in the label are given depth with the split dividing the label in two, exposing the bottled wine.

“We had a lot of fun with this label. I like to challenge myself and our production team with unique label dielines and that is what did with Artifakt. A two-piece label with intricate cracks proved to be a great production challenge but the end result was an amazing label.”

What’s Unique?
Unique two-piece label with high-build cracks. Silver foil for wordmark and details. The label is Flexo printed by Grigsby Label.
