Pemberton & Whitefoord were recently tasked by ASKUL Corporation to re-design the packaging for a range of pouched Lupicia teas.

ASKUL Corporation is a Japanese, Toyko-based mail order company, focusing on office equipment, supplies and support services. Lupicia is a world-renowned Japanese retailer of teas, tea-ware and confectionary.

The teas come in three different flavours: Earl Grey Blend (Ceylon & Bergamot), Rooibos Blend (Rooibos & Rose Hip) and Peach & Strawberry (Seasonal Flavour), with each re-sealable pouch containing 30 tea bags.

The teas are available to purchase online or via ASKUL’s printed catalogue.

What’s Unique?
P&W commissioned a London-based powder watercolour artist to produce the beautiful bespoke backdrops for each pouch label. The expressive colours are symbolic of the distinct tea flavours.

P&W Partner, Adrian Whitefoord, commented: “The highly-pigmented powder paints produce an unparalleled colour vividity. P&W has ensured the pouches are distinctive from an abundance of other teas within Askul’s catalogues, with an energetic visual appeal.”
