The THICKET Brewery (Пивоварня Чаща) is a Moscow-based company which took the medieval times recipes as a basis for their wide range of craft beer. The first brewing was made in boondocks of Shishkinsky forest using a water with the same name. The name ‘Thicket’, as the most dark, deep and neglected part of the wood, is suitable great to display a brewing tradition. Besides, the Thicket brewery uses various ingredients from the forest: herbs, berries, etc.

As a main idea for craft beer packaging illustration we took the characters that usually were used in medieval chronicles. Our hero is a dark knight which is wearing a mask as a symbol of the brewing company. He will appear in all packaging design in different situations, but one thing will never change — he will always fight with bestiary or escape from it.
