Mood of the Day is a collection of natural soaps that are sold internationally. They are created by The Cool Projects, a natural soap factory & all things handmade workshop based on the island of Aegina, Greece.

Every day we wake up in a certain mood. Its flow might change easily depending on our thoughts, people, words, feelings, work, music, sounds, smells, facts that we face every single day. It started out with small drawings of a character on paper, literally drawing a mood a day. Whether alone or with friends, whether on the phone, on hold, at coffee places, in bars or in any mood during a day, I design a character that represents the feeling of the moment. An illustrated calendar.

Two notebooks on, some scattered papers here and there and after much conversation, we decided to give an identity to one of the characters, the girl with the black short hair holding hearts. I had become obsessed with the idea of designing a packaging with the little girl on it. It fit perfectly with the idea of ​​creating a series of coloured soaps together with THE COOL PROJECTS team, who are full of energy and willingness for anything new. We made a list of moods, numerous drafts and drawings to end up with the first 7 positive messages we wanted to communicate on a product that people can use every day. 7 days, 7 moods, 7
colours and fragrances. The soaps, are made with Greek olive oil combined with other plant oils and essential oils. All natural, simple and made with love.

MOTD soaps come in a box of seven, and in seven boxes of three of the same mood. That’s the story behind the Mood of the Day soaps.

What’s Unique?
It is a very simple white box of surprises. When you open it, it does change your mood, as it is bright, colourful and smells delicious. Not to mention the character illustrations on each of the soap packages!
