It is OK to Still Sleep with a Stuffed Animal as an Adult
The purpose of this investigation is to discover how data can be visually manipulated to create radically different visual narratives.

The goal of the project is to convince adults that it is ok to still sleep with stuffed animals. Therefore, I combined teddy bear with beer to engage in adults’ purchase experiences, in the hope of inspiring them to “drink beers and hug bears”.

Viewers can see more detailed data on the three bottles, including how many percent of adults still have their childhood stuffed animals by gender, how many percent of adults still sleep with stuffed animals by generation, why adults sleep with childhood nighttime companions and how many percent of adult Americans still sleep with stuffed animals.

As stuffed animals are comfort objects to provide psychological comfort and also offer stress relief, I encouraged adults to put their solo socks or old socks into the unstuffed bear. After that, they can sleep with it.

What’s Unique?

  1. The packaging design integrates 4-pack bottle carrier with 3 bottles of beer and a stuffed animal in it, so that people can buy beer and bear together at once.
  2. The 4-pack bottle carrier has teddy bear fur inside and people can touch and feel the warmness.
  3. The back of beer labels and the secondary labels provide different data in terms of persuading adults to have bears when they drink beer.
  4. The tag on the bear is a letter from the bear to an adult who bought this pack.
  5. There is an manual instruction attached behind the tag to inform people how to enjoy the whole pack of beer and bear.
