Bagelries are getting more and more popular in Hungary, but bagels are still not as popular as other pastries. The objective was to create a lovable and friendly brand for the newly opened bagelry (Bégelde) to encourage customers to choose bagels to other pastries.

What’s Unique?
The package is trying to fulfill this aim with its playfulness and amicable design. Unlike other bagelries, Bégelde wraps the product in tissue paper, placing it into a box, thus preventing the pastry from being squeezed or harmed otherwise. Besides the above mentioned functions, the box serves two other roles: Keeping the bagel warm and being a tray. Among the advantages of the mentioned form of packaging is that it does not require any adhesive, making assembly and production simpler, not to mention the fact that the box is made out of a single material. Storing the box before service is easy and ergonomic, its’ easy assembly makes service swift. Sealing the box with the strap – refering to the ribbon in the logo – guarantees the proper closure of the storage.

Upon travelling, options for sanitising hands are limited. For this reason, the inside of the box thus contains a pocket with a hand-wipe.
