Viggo Schulstad, the founder of the famous Danish bread company Schulstad, was nothing short of a pioneer within his field. More than 130 years ago, he brought good rye bread to the Danes. Something Schulstad still does today.

With their new range Signaturbrød (“Signature Bread”), Schulstad seeks to celebrate the next generation of master bakers. The first bread in the series is developed in collaboration with chef and restaurateur Annette Bylov Sørensen who runs Restaurant Gilleleje Havn in Denmark.

At Danish shopper design agency Everland, we helped Schulstad design the new series under their sub-brand, Det Gode. With an emphasis on the craft behind the bread, the new design creates a harmonious link between Schulstad and Restaurant Gilleleje Havn.

“Everything about the new design highlights the expertise and craft that goes into the bread. It comes to show in both the paperlike finish and the two-piece design that stages both Schulstad and the collaborating bread pioneers,” says Pernille Dueholm, Design Lead at Everland.
