Ecou is a new brand launched by the renown Moldovan company Călărași Divin. Having the goal to enter new markets with a brand new type of product, the company wanted to distance itself from the brand that is strongly associated with hard spirits. This is how Ecou was born (rom. “echo”), comprised of quality varietal dry wines produced in the designated geographic area Codru. Our task was to create a label design for the new brand that would communicate the main features of these wines.

The main concept of Ecou is freedom, the distance travelled and that left to conquer. It’s the vastness, in which one wants to get lost at least for some time. It’s the echo of thoughts and words that came back from places unseen long after they’ve been set free into the world. Because it took the company several decades to get back to its roots and present this very product. And our design is namely about that – getting back to the beginning, a look at own thoughts through the prism of time and space.
