“Litterally” is a series of packages I designed to display as part of Amman’s biannual design week. ‘Litterally’ seeks to raise awareness about the environment and the damage humans have inflicted upon it. The play on the words ‘litter’ and ‘literally’ is simple and direct, showing literally what happens when we litter. The concept is based on a viral video that shows a straw being pulled out of a turtle’s nostril. A variety of ideas within the same concept are created on different packages to better help the consumer visualize the severity of the problem. As you close the package, it acts as a reminder that you are literally feeding the fish the litter. When you insert the straw, it is a reminder that you literally insert the straw into the turtles nose when you litter.
