Love can be different. Unpredictable, Любовь бывает разной. Непредсказуемой, sizzling, unnoticed, vivid. Strange. And for each and every one of us this phenomenon wields own personal meaning. Same as the attitude most alcoholic beverage producers have towards gin – it can be quite different, strange and unlike anything you’ve tried before. That’s why when the Belgian company Sodiko has decided to launch its original gin Strange Luve, we instantly knew that this product should have an unusual packaging design that would reflect the special attitude towards this drink.

After carefully studying the client’s requests, we had a clear understanding that the label design for Strange Luve gin should feature a surreal visual style. By combining ordinary things in a strange and unexpected way, we’ve created a surreal image of a young woman that sets the tone for the entire label.

The central piece of the composition, however, is the brand name inscripted in a strict font and processed with gold foil stamping, which amplifies the visual contrast and thus emphasizes the strangeness of the colorful image in the background. And while the label seems rather simple and even minimalistic at first, its printing process is quite intense in terms of technology, which serves the purpose of making the product more eye-catching on the shelf.
