The premise of this project was to create a concept based packaging solution for an existing or non existing product inspired by an intangible word or phrase. The packaging should have a purpose beyond its initial intent and should incorporate ideals of sustainability.

Chai and coffee are an integral part of the Indian lifestyle, at home and on the go. The issue is that the hot beverages in cafes can be expensive while street vendors can have hygiene issues. The existing instant chai and coffee packets do not provide all the materials needed together.

Our product ‘Tapreez’ provides an innovative solution for these problems. The box conveniently includes the chai or coffee pods, cups and stirrers so that the user only needs to add hot water. It‘s user-friendly, spill proof and portable.

What’s Unique?
The box is constructed so that it is easy to open and can transform into tray. In addition, the box, cups and stirrers are all made from moulded pulp so that it is practical to recycle. The pods are made out of bio-plastic that can melt in water and hence no excess waste. The idea was to be able to make the experience of having tea or coffee on the go more memorable, easy and convenient.
