Also known as ‘Threads of God’, the brief challenges us to re-brand Paola Abraini’s 300 year old brand ‘Abraini’. We were to capture this historical product, and repurpose it for luxurious, commercial use.

Within this packaging, it’s been kept rather minimal, with the hint of religious provenance within both its new monogram, and type. The inspiration behind this rebrand is Sardinia’s Madonna of the Sea, and her child. Within the Abraini family, it is the woman who make this heavenly pasta – So here forth I put a mother and her child, to uphold the idea that its purely a female made product of cared, cherish, loved pasta.

Here within the re-brand you see a contemporary elevation, accompanied with a San Serif type, to again add a religious persona. This element was necessary to the brand as spiritual enlightenment is a very prominent aspect of Sardinian culture. To this, I also kept the colour scheme at a minimum, which adds a timeless aspect – making packaging for Abraini within the future, not inclined to change too much.

What’s Unique?
The Abraini family are the sole creators of this specific pasta, so I allowed for this packaging to stay quite personal, with the touches in the string, and archival paper, to which seems as though it was packaged by hand just for you. Another addition is the booklet addressed to the buyer, with gold foiling and other touches to add a personalised quality.
