IĐUNN is a luxurious homeware brand that hypothetically originate in the Island of Heimaey in the southern part of Iceland. The brand concept work around the particular event that happened on that island, Volcanic eruption of Mount Eldfell in 1973. The brand designed around the concept of ‘renew of nature’. The dark blue represent Icelandic glacier that have a cold and raw feel and the logo is designed to be contemporary. With combination of both, I have decided to print my design on white ink creating a vibrant texts and illustration, emphasising on the brand heritage and identity. The inner layer of the packaging shows the product sitting perfectly, The inner layer present a photograph of mountain range representing the local, contrast with the outer layer giving man-made feel to the packaging.

What’s Unique?
The unique element is the illustration and texture of the packaging. I have incorporated several pack interactions into my packaging. The pattern is specially
designed, not only that it represent the heritage but also can be seen at the first glance of the package, in contrast with white ink printing method. Once holding at eyes level, the thumb of the holder feel the texture at the side. This allow them to understand the brand and embrace the package.
