MATTE designed and produced custom product seeding kits for the Eric Emanuel x adidas Originals SS19 Collection launch. Extending the capsule collection’s reach to style influencers as well as friends and family of Emanuel’s, each kit was built to house a pair of shoes and select apparel. Fitted for springtime, the collection’s floral motif and sand tones were infused into the design of both the men’s and women’s kits.

What’s Unique?
Structurally, MATTE’s packaging elevated what would otherwise be a simple container to create a keepsake artifact. The unique opening experience incorporated the same thread found in the adidas sneakers. Recipients needed to pull the thread, tearing a paper strip that not only opened the box, but also revealed a handwritten note from Eric himself.
