The Mid-Autumn Festival is a joyous time for family, friends, and couples to reunite under a full moon during harvest. We take a little time to appreciate the beautiful full moon on the clearest night of the year. The round shape and completeness of the full moon symbolize reunited pieces. CASAHANA is a food manufacturer of Malaysia specializing in pastries for “festivals and ceremonies”. This packaging present the moon cake with the theme “Reunion”.

The pattern textile design, colors, layout was actually inspired by the Chinese vintage modern styles. The colors and the textile is more to the vintage style and was created by using graphic form. It’s kind of like a combination between the old and new styling. Two jumping mascots was designed in a Chinese paper cutting style so that they fit into the design styling. In order to create a surprising for consumer, pop-up effect was used for the inner part of the gift box. The gift box was designed for four pieces moon cake with different flavors.
