DSP Black Whisky is a premium range of whisky blended to perfection using quality Indian malts and Holi is an Indian festival celebrating colour, equality, and, diversity across multiple communities.

To help the brand mark the festival, a limited edition range with a special packaging design was created. The challenge was to retain the familiar brand elements yet bring in the flavour of holi which is all about vibrancy, fun, and high energy.

What’s Unique?
The idea was to celebrate India and specifically Holi through the packaging design. The central unit uses elements that are associated with festival like the tandai glass (a popular drink had during holi), celebration of people smearing colour on each other, etc to form a mandala. The visual style is inspired by contemporarizing traditional Indian art of kitsch and making it pop art which gives the overall design a young look.

When stacked next to each other, the mandala is designed in a way that they combine to complete the circular shape.
