Chocolate-making is an art. We learnt this from our client Q’uma. Francesca, the brand’s founder, has travelled around Peru to get to know the farmers that currently provide her with cacao. During those trips, she decided to create the Orígenes collection, which pays tribute to each of the regions where cacao comes from because the soil in which they grow dictates the notes that make them unique.

“If Cacao were a bar of gold, Q’uma would be the artisan that skillfully works to turn it into a jewel, ” was the thought we kept in mind while designing the packaging.

Three chocolate bars, three origins, three stories: Junín, Cusco and Amazonas. We illustrated characters and flora and fauna with organic lines, then added watercolour strokes and gold foil to give it a touch of elegance.

What’s Unique?
We had the chance to keep working with a brand we had collaborated with in the past. This time with a new line of products, following the brand’s original Communication Strategy, we decided to include distinctive elements from Peru: we drew characters, flora and fauna of our country, with organic lines to visually enrich the packaging design. We proposed using a finely textured paper and foil to add value to the product.
