The Cup-prize Tea Packaging Design has a lovely way to add some unexpected surprise, when opening the – seemingly average – teabag holder. The 10-teabag package reveals the tea flavour by opening the lid and showing a pop-up surprise artwork, presenting the large scale of flavours – like strawberry, orange, blueberry, forest and tropical fruit, raspberry, cinnamon and apple, ginger, and many more.

The inside of the box opens when one gets past the pop-up section: the second lid hides the inner structure, an ornament called “witch’s stairs”, which were made by folding two long paper strips over each other. This structure holds and protects the ten teabags inside at the same time, and if one wishes to get a teabag out of the box, this fun surprise will await one every time.

What’s Unique?
My packaging design’s aim is to bring some playfulness into an ordinary thing, like purchasing and then opening a single teabag holder box, and to bring quality art closer to everyone in their daily life, like for people who might want to see a creative and nice idea presented in a simple form as a tea package. Besides, my package was made completely by biodegradable substance, does not contain any form of plastic, which, in my opinion, is an important standpoint when making environmentally-friendly package designs.
