Ice Cream By Accident was opened in the spring of 2018. The Owner had previously been a healthcare provider and an ice cream truck driver part-time. One evening she was in a terrible accident and wrecked her ice cream truck, soon after she started looking at storefronts to set up her business. She came up with the name Ice Cream By Accident as an homage to her wrecked ice cream truck. The Owner has a wide selection of ice cream flavors, boasting over 45 flavors of soft-serve ice cream.

What’s Unique?
Because of all the options Ice Cream By Accident provides, it became a challenge to cut down the menu. I decided to stick with the soft-serve ice cream only in the truck because the owner just uses vanilla as the base and whips in the various flavors. This would be good for transportation as the flavor bottles don’t take up too much room. As for the truck itself, I did research on the colors I chose for the truck and packaging. I chose a mint blue because of the cool tone providing the chilliness of ice cream. I chose a hot pink because it invokes pops of flavor and sweetness. I chose the white ice starbursts as my pattern to give off a magical and sprinkle touch to the truck. I also wanted to pay homage to the owner’s original story and create a character to give a little background behind Ice Cream By Accident. She is featured on the truck three times. For the wordmark, I wanted to create something that expresses glee and happiness to the viewer, much like what the owner wants to provide for the community.
