INSPIRED BY ITS 140 YEAR-OLD HISTORY: ABERLOUR UNVEILS REFRESHED PACKAGING BY NUDE BRAND CREATION

New designs reflect the brand’s vision to recruit a new generation of craft seekers and heroes its motto: “let the deed show”.

Aberlour, the award-winning craft single malt Scotch whisky distiller, has proudly unveiled its distinctive new packaging created in partnership with Nude Brand Creation. The redefined craft aesthetic of the new-look packaging truly heroes its heritage and highlights the brand’s continued passion for delivering a whisky of exceptional character.

Nude took inspiration from the distillery’s rich history and many stories to recraft the packaging, including founder James Fleming’s motto “Let the deed show” which is at the very heart of the brand. The new design has brought this motto to the forefront, with the iconic brand mark redrawn and refined with a purer logotype. It is embossed directly into the front of the bottle to ensure a pure and uninterrupted view; and together with the reduced label size and more direct, product-focused copy allows the liquid to take centre stage. The founder’s signature and “Let the Deed Show” stamp provide a seal on each bottle. This hand-applied detail guaranteeing Aberlour’s commitment to quality and reinforcing the human touch that sets the brand apart.

As well as the bottle the canister has also received a makeover focusing on delivering craft tactility and bringing an honest design approach. Fluted emboss texture combine with a rich, earthy colour palette to deliver a strong range connection across the aged portfolio whilst ensuring heritage and traditional craft cues are displayed.

Other key brand icons such as the St Drostan’s well and tree icon have been redrawn and re-set with the brand’s founding date 1879. Bringing a strong sense of the brand’s past values but with an uncluttered and more modern appearance.

The refresh will be across the full collection: Aberlour 12, 16 and 18-Year-Old malts, as well as craft expressions A’Bunadh and Casg Annamh.

Mike Parsonson, for Nude Brand Creation comments:
“It has been our immense privilege to work on the brand to re-engage and celebrate its rich and inspiring history. Heritage brands such as Aberlour are a global ambassador for the Single Malt category, with incredible stories from the past that still resonate with whisky audiences today. Moving with the times to recognise the new codes of luxury whilst still respecting the past has been the main motivation behind the redesign and we are very proud of the resulting packaging.”
