Cerveja Nortada is a craft beer brand that’s always looking for new challenges!

In 2020, we decided to launch the campaign “12 months, 12 beers”, the biggest brewing challenge that we have ever faced. It’s about testing our production capacity and imagination. But that’s not all – we embraced the more cultural side of the brand and are collaborating with 12 different artists to develop 12 different and creative labels.

We want to dare people with one different beer per month and show them that craft beer is delicious, versatile and a perfect fit for every occasion.

“Milky Circus” was the second release of this campaign. For the artwork design, we wanted to create a quirky and fun label that highlighted the aromas of mango and passion fruit. The challenge for Bruno Pacheco, an illustrator from Porto, Portugal, was to find a way to represent this.

“I don’t know why but when I read the name Milkshake IPA, I immediately thought about the Milky Way. This was supposed to be a fun and lighthearted label that represented the blast of flavor of mango and passion fruit. I found that joining these two concepts would be the perfect way to represent that this beer is so good, that it is from another galaxy. So the Milky Way turned into a Milky Circus with planets, confetti, fruit flying around and, of course, astronauts drinking beer!” – Bruno Pacheco
