Cattywampus is a brand of accessories for children, such as teepees and play mats, aimed to fit a modern, chic home and designed to spark imagination and inspire creative play. The brand needed a luxurious and stylish packaging design for their new line of play mats and the main goal of the project was to develop a design that goes hand-in-hand with the brand’s appreciation for simplicity and childhood wonder.

The final packaging was designed as an elegant, minimalist custom-illustrated backpack. This reusable, eco-friendly bag is a sustainable packaging alternative that extends the brand experience beyond the product itself and gives the brand’s audience something more. The design features a playful, minimalist custom illustration that draws inspiration from the wonderful product description of the play mat hidden inside: “this is a mat for those who dare to dream and discover, who’ll let their imaginations wander to faraway lands where dinosaurs are friends.”
