Nescafe is one of the most loved and trusted brands in India. It earned its popularity during World War-II. It became a staple ration of the US forces and they loved it. Quick, easy, and delicious coffee. It was when the demand for coffee sachets was raised and at that time, the invention of coffee sachets took place also demanded less space for storage.

The sachet is used in huge quantities in the Indian market. The sachets are least cared about recycling, unlike other plastic objects. They are bot even biodegradable. So we chose Nescafe sachet packaging to change into an Eco-friendly and sustainable one. We have designed the primary as well as secondary packaging of the coffee.

The material should be biodegradable, flexible, lightweight and water-resistant. The middle layer has aluminum coated with cellophane. It is a transparent material made of cellulose that has low permeability to moisture. It can’t be recyclable but it’s biodegradable. The outer layer will be paper and easy to print. The secondary packaging is done by paper. The secondary packaging consists of 30 sachets inside it and can be pulled out each at a time from the opening at the front.

This whole packaging falls under a Campaign to save nature and Sustainable living. Through this packaging, we can spread concern among the people to accept the Eco-friendly packaging and it also plays a role in brand marketing.

What’s Unique?
The form is quite different as per the current sachet available in the market. It is inspired from the Nescafe’s logo. It is derived from making the radii manipulation of three sides of the square and proving a perfect grip for tearing. The secondary packaging is also the geometrical version of the sachet form.

The addition of graphics made it more attractive and playful. The graphic is based on three of the five elements. There are shapes universally provided for all the five elements so we picked circle for water, square for the earth, and crescent for air and made a composition out of it. The red mug is a signature in Nescafe’s packaging so we also tried to make an illustration of it and give it an energetic and happening look.
