The arts of the Rijksmuseum inspired me to create a design for disposable napkins. I was looking at images with extraordinary clothes: detailed costumes with huge collars. That time I thought: how is it possible to wear these huge collars. So, I decided to learn more about it. I found out that the collars are named ruffs, their history and types are really interesting: for example, the size of the ruff increased as the century went on and sometimes it was impossible to eat regularly because of the ruff size! A person with a ruff had to use forks and napkins to avoid soiling their clothes.
So, I chose napkins and noticed that napkins can be folded the same pattern as ruffs!

The design of the box will show to customers different types of ruff collars (4 types how ruffs were folded at a side). Also, it will explain how these collars were made — a process. The third side of a box contains samples (portraits that contain ruffs and that are located at Rijks) The boxes have an open side to show napkins for a customer.
