Since its foundation in 1998, Omdesign has offered its partners and clients annual solutions as a Christmas’ gift. The Portuguese creative agency has designed special customized editions with the motto “Sharing our values with you since 1998”. Ambition, determination, excellence and meticulousness are some of the values that the company has always defended.

With a strong know-how in packaging design, the agency’s portfolio includes several clients in the beverage sector. For this reason, every year the team select a different drink and create a special and limited edition with a simple, original and unique label, bottle and package.

In 2014, in a partnership with Unicer, known as Super Bock Group nowadays, one of their clients and the biggest Portuguese beverage-producing company, they developed a special edition of an Imperial Stout-type craft beer. Its label and packaging were entirely customized and totally created and produced by Omdesign.

The case is made of wood, cardboard and string, which were once used to carry and package bottles. The aim of this self-promotion project was to display and transport the bottles without any type of closing accessory. Slotted together, the wood pieces are wrapped in cardboard and secured with a magnet (accordingly to the law of Physics). The box can then be carried securely and fully closed. Every side has an opening and once flattened out, the package also works as a tray to share and enjoy the beer with appetizers or tapas.

On the back label, it can be found the story of this beer, created in the 18th century, and the Christmas message from Diogo Gama Rocha, Omdesign’s general manager.

What’s Unique?
All the elements, colors and materials of this special edition refer to the beer universe and to its authenticity; and they are strengthened by a message of close proximity between Omdesign and its partners and clients that involves sharing common values.
