This project is an outcome of a comprehensive study done on cake packaging and how the user sees it. Every day thousands of cake boxes are thrown away without being used to their fullest potential. By creating this concept I wanted to increase the utility of cake packaging and to make the design more interactive, fun for the user which in turn will help the sales of the product.

Cakes are consumed on the occasion of parties, get-togethers, social events, weddings and birthdays. Often we face the issue of cutlery when it’s a sudden plan. This was the problem that caught my attention and I wanted see how I could work on it. After an intensive study and prototyping I came up with this design that not just utilizes the box to its optimum potential but also provides the user optimum utility.

Surprises are always sudden, and in that rush there is no time to get cutlery, right? This concept will provide the user with cutlery of eight plates and spoons for the purpose of eating . And each of the plates can be converted into a mini package to carry the extra slice home if need be.
