Amul, is an Indian dairy cooperative society, based at Anand in the Indian state of Gujarat. Amul spurred India’s White Revolution, which made the country the world’s largest producer of milk and milk products. It is today among India’s most trusted brand name. Amul commitment to offer only the best quality products is highlighted through its positioning ‘Real milk, Real ice cream’. As the brand grows, it is all set to take the category to the next level with the launch of super-premium range of Kulfi in India. Kulfi is defined as one with lower amount of aeration and a higher fat content than regular kulfi thereby giving rich taste & more weight/volume to consumers. It tastes creamier and richer than regular Kulfi. Also, it carries high value ingredients such as premium nuts, fruits or flavour.

The Problem: Due to hightened use of plastic wrappers for kulfi packaging it is noticed that there is no way out to preclude the hands of eaters from getting messier. Also, use of plastic is such packagings digging down the sustainability of environment.

Put forward Solution: To address this issue I have created a palatable packaging which can keep your hands away from the melting cream and can save them from getting messier. So here is a design includes a paperboard material in conical shape or in the shape of the kulfi, this paperboard is moisture-proof, waterproof and have high strength property. This paperboard will not get wet from its outer part in case your kulfi gets melt. The upper lid is made up of Bagasse. Bagasse is a by-product material obtaind from waste sugarcane material i.e., after squeezing out the sugarcane juice. This lid which can also be used as a plate to protect the hands from getting sticky with melted kulfiis adhesively fixed with the kulfi stick so when you will take out the kulfi from the paperboard packaging the stick will come out with the lid which can be used a plate to protect your hands from getting dirty by melted kulfi. This complete packaging is biodegradable, sustainable and environmental friendly.

What’s Unique?
The shape of the body is inspired by the broad shape of kulfi. The lid which can be used as a plate to protect the hands from getting sticky with melted kulfi. Also the complete packaging material is biodegradable, sustainable and environment friendly.
