The objective of this project was to find the most frustrating packaging we ever faced and to create a new frustration-free and sustainable packaging for the same.

McDonald’s Delivery’s existing packaging was studied, analyzed through user testing and redesigned based on feedback. The main focus was to decrease the number of materials used in the existing packaging and also reuse some. For the packaging of the burger, the inspiration was an Armadillo, a little armoured creature. When threatened by a predator they roll up into a ball. The same concept was used here where the burger would be packaged in the wrapping paper. For delivery packaging, a sustainable, stackable design was made.

What’s Unique?
The burger can be packed using half of the existing wrapping paper. The delivery packaging can hold the burger, cold /hot drink and fries without spilling anything. The same package can be opened into an elongated plate so that the user can eat it on the go or when seated.
