Branding and packaging for The Burrow – a cosy little brand that sells small batch, handmade treats and ice-creams in Mumbai, India.

Born in a pandemic, raised in a home kitchen, The Burrow started with the idea of ‘tubs of deliciousness to get people through the lockdown’.

The brief was simple – branding that was cosy and comfortable, packaging that was fuss-free, customisable and good for the environment, and small batch treats that were good for the soul.

The Burrow is inspired by the founder’s grandmum, who loved to feed people; and would invariably make and serve an assortment of dishes at parties. The menu didn’t necessarily go together, but each dish was something she loved. You’ll find the same love in The Burrow’s menu. It’s a merry mix of ice-creams layered with shortbread, brownie and cinder toffee, fat little boxes of cookies, jars of jam, and soon butters. All packed in tubs, jars and bags that are completely plastic-free.
