Well known for combining age-old Italian tradition with a passion for innovation, the team behind Dalla Cia are delighted to launch an exciting new addition to their wine range – a brut sparkling Pinot Grigio named Bullicante.

The name Bullicante derives from a technique used by the Murano Art Glassblowers in Venice, where layers of air bubbles are blown into thick glass and pulled with the blowpipe to form elongated depressions. In a similar way, we have added bubbles to our wine range using a very northern Italian cultivar, Pinot Grigio, not often used as a bubbly.

Using the colour palette from the existing wine range, we developed a sequence of dots to represent the brand. Inspired by the patterning systems designed by talented modern artist such as Yayoi Kusama and the likes of Damien Hirst, using the Pantone™ System, we created a label that speaks to the fine art of Italian glass blowing named Bullicante.

Product of South Africa. 750ml. All 13.5% Vol.

What’s Unique?
From concept to execution, we designed with this in mind: The name Bullicante derives from a technique used by the Murano Art Glassblowers in Venice and the product delivers a gentle bouquet of citrus, orange blossom and a flinty minerality and this is reflected in each touch point of this NEW pack design.
