Rebranding for Anhydrous Winery in Santorini.

Winemaker Apostolos Mountrichas of Avantis Estate Winery in Evia, fell in love with Santorini and the strong personality of Assyrtiko. In 2012 he returned back for the winemaking of the top indigenous variety in the incomparable volcanic terroir of Santorini. His philosophy relies on wines with purity, primary varietal characteristics and balance. Wines that reflect the connection to the Santorinian anhydrous land, the majesty of earth, the volcano, the sun, the sea breeze, the Cycladic air – the intense personality of this unique PDO land.

Santorini is an island well known apart from the natural beauty, for its spectacular terroir. Within a complex mixture of harsh weather conditions, nature’s elements come together to form the perfect environment where old pre-phylloxera vines produce distinguish grapes. The strong winds, the volcanic soil, the sea, the sun are all depicted through the new look of the brand in bold and minimal way through a variety of techniques and materials.

For the logotype these elements are combined and form a scene where all come together. Carefully done by hand in great detail by Andrey Kokorin in an old gravure style. The logo afterwards has been processed by specialist mold producer in order to become a sculptured embossed stamp that would stand out on the label.

A dramatic scene, expansion of the basic logo has been illustrated in two different scenes which were printed as a wrap on the flagship ICON wine of the winery but also in 6 bottle cases.

What’s Unique?
A contemporary vs classic design that reflects the scenery and the power of one of the most unique terroirs in the wine world!
