Bakers Choice – Intense Dark Chocolate

The goal of the project was to formulate a unique packaging design for the dark chocolate bars newly introduced by Bakers Choice. The cacao beans are organically grown in Seoul, South Korea. Bakers Choice blends in dark chocolate with the crispiness of rice cakes, to add a little taste of Korea for an exotic flavor experience.

The tagline ‘From the Heart to the Seoul’ is a clear representation of the country from where the ingredients come from. Bakers Choice is one such brand that is known to bring in the taste of other cultures into their recipes.

The packaging needed to emphasize the discovery of rich flavors, new tastes and new experiences of Seoul. The design showcases a vibrant illustration of the tall buildings in Seoul captured at night, giving it rich tones of purples, blues and pinks. The idea behind this unconventional illustration was to make it stand out from the dominant brands of chocolate. The packaging is made of sustainable cardboard for the outer pack with gold foil that wraps the chocolate on the inside. These materials are safe for the product as well as the environment.
