Dillions is a family-run boutique vineyard in the heart of the Sussex wine belt. Sussex is well known for its picturesque landscape and high quality, traditional English wine, but to cut through to their discerning consumers Dillions needed to do something bit different and really showcase the uniqueness of their modern, small batch wine. Branding agency Kingdom & Sparrow moved them away from the traditional world of the English vineyard to create a brand that is as contemporary and fresh as their wine.

Kingdom & Sparrow wanted to capture their craft and provenance in an untraditional way, so centred the brand around a detailed, hand-painted illustration inspired by still life paintings, balanced with elegant typography, clean space and light, fresh colour palettes. The carefully considered composition brings in natural elements from the Sussex area, flavour notes and personal storytelling. Overall, the result is a brand that communicates a sense of both heritage and modernity, with a premium but playful edge.

Since launching their debut wine, a 2019 Bacchus, Dillion’s has already gained online and retail stockists and are growing their presence on shelves and online shops alike. March 2021 saw their best months’ sales and a solid growth in web traffic. The Dillion’s branding (and taste!) has also gained some great attention from reviewers too, including one from esteemed wine journalist Matt Jukes.
