Santiago spent a few days on his small vessel at sea battling the great beast of a marlin. In order to portray that time spent on the boat, one must physically feel the wood grain while reading about this great journey. Each cover represents the the two main characters in this story, Santiago and the blue marlin. From beginning to end, cover to cover, the boat was a vital tool in this journey at sea.
This packaging features hand carved wood covering along with hand drawing lettering based on Adobe Caslon.
